This raster GIS dataset contains values 10, 20, and 30 depicting the strongly cemented rocks, weakly cemented rocks, and argillaceous rocks for the Oregon Seismic Hazard Database.
The landslide geologic group in this study is used to for landslide probability and ground deformation calculations.

Care was taken to limit categorical attribute errors. Attribute accuracy of the dataset was visually inspected but despite the checks there may be some attributes that are still mislabeled.
Topological checks were conducted to verify there were no gaps or overlaps between polygons before conversion to 30m resolution raster. Dataset QA-QC was carried out, attributes fell within parameters.
O-13-06 assigned landslide geologic group classes to geologic units in OGDC based on factors like measured and inferred shear wave velocity, liquefaction classes from the literature or spatial statistics of known landslides. The landslide geologic group includes information for the state of Oregon. No attempt was made to test and compare different methods or data sources, which was beyond the scope of this project.
The geologic unit polygons have variable positional accuracies due to variable scales in compilations. However newest geologic maps were digitized on a lidar base at a 1:8000 scale. As a result the data set has a highly variable horizontal positional accuracy throughout the state of Oregon. Refer to the original source data for positional accuracy.
Data was derived from 4 source types. A geologic map compilation (OGDC-7), updated with recently prepared or published geologic maps, older seismic hazard studies using 3D data, recent geohazard studies that are published or in preparation, and landslide polygon data from SLIDO-4.2. For the OGDC and SLIDO 4.2 data, values were assigned based on a geologic unit, see report for further details. Other geohazard studies provided data that was directly useable. The various layers were stamped together in a specific order, described in the report. The resulting polygon data set was converted to a 30m raster following topology review. Final datasets where then converted to 98.4ft rasters due to the Oregon statewide projection standard unit being feet.
Not all data sources are listed in this lineage. Please see the 2021 Oregon Seismic Hazard Database: Purpose, Methods, And Uses report for a complete list.
